Given the nature of the project, there have been significant
problems with the documentary photography of people and even the
recording of audio.
Please see the project diary for a full account
and explaination of the trial works.
TRIAL ARTWORK ONE: "White Flight I - Horse"

A very neglected and vandalised sculpture dating from around 1990, now doing the
exact opposite of its intended role of "promoting Tipton" to rail travellers.

Close-up of a swastika on the horse's surface, 'as found'. The word "paki" also
had also been scrawled by someone.

The horse after extensive cleaning and painting, with new
ambigious/poetic phrase added. (See the diary
for a long explanation of the reasoning and meanings behind this.)
INCIDENTAL: THE ROYAL BIRD - "Swan photographs taken during the project"
INCIDENTAL: NATIONAL ANIMALS - "photos of totemic English animals
taken during the project"
TRIAL ARTWORK TWO: "White Flight II - Swan"

Marking out the circle

The hill-figure's head

Two-thirds finished

Seen from afar, as intended. The word LAND & a path still have to be added
below the figure. The work is deeply linked to the history of the site.
FUTURE ARTWORK PROTOTYPE: "Flag"
A prototype for a large-scale generative digital projection & sonics
experience. This work marries Koans, Flash animation and several scripting languages. The final version
will use the British flag as its starting point, and interact with
a traditional English tune.
